Today was my birthday. I’m 25 now. I don’t feel any different than I felt yesterday, or even a year ago, but I guess that’s par for the course or something. My mom came up on Tuesday (after calling Monday night & asking if I wanted her to come up, LOL) and she’ll be here until Saturday. It’s really nice to have help with Boogermonkey, especially when I’m so tired all the time, and she’s a bit OCD about cleaning so my dishes are all washed and the living room’s been vacuumed 3 times in 2 days. That’s about as much as we usually vacuum in a month *shame* The day started with breakfast at Peso’s (mmmmmm stuffed French toast! I could eat that every morning). I was supposed to get a manicure this morning, as a gift from Llamaface, but the aesthetician got stuck in traffic & was booked for the rest of the day, so it was either take me at 10:30, bumping EVERYONE back, or make me reschedule for another time. I’ll go somewhere else another time. Or maybe I’ll just spend the money on yarn. We walked from Pioneer Square to the library (not my photos), where I picked up the book I had on hold, then we walked a little more to catch the bus home. After that, it was nap time. I wanted to go to Discovery Park, but I fell asleep with Booger and stayed asleep after he got up so we didn’t have time for that before going to farmer’s market, which is always awesome. Got carrots, orange heirloom cherry tomatoes, blackberries (that Booger finished while we watched the cooking demo), 2 HUUUUUGE heirloom green peppers & sundried tomato goat cheese to make stuffed peppers with, green beans, apples, and a peach for Booger to snack on in the stroller. Headed to Safeway so mom could get her cocacola fix & I could get a bagel, then home, vegged a bit, and out to Julia’s for birthday dinner while Mom watched Booger here. It’s weird going out to eat without him. The best present, by far: Booger’s new phrase. He’s been saying “I love you” for months now, but this morning he changed it slightly. Now it’s “I love you, duuuude!”
So, I didn’t get the cupcakes I wanted, but it was a good day anyway
Dang it, I can’t believe I missed wishing you a happy birthday! Well, I am glad to hear it was good!!
