I had a friend on my FL recently who just finished reading “The Omnivores Dilemma” by Michael Pollan. It was basically about a man who wanted to find out how food is grown, processed and transported. He attempts to make a meal for himself that he has hunted and gathered on his own. While this isn’t entirely feasible, it had some interesting insights on knowing more about where your food comes from (from her review–as I haven’t read it yet). I just thought I would mention it as it is somewhat related to what you were talking about here. Kinda interesting to think about.
