My job is cooler than yours…

…unless you work in a yarn shop.  Then we’re on equal footing in terms of coolness.

That’s right ladies (and gents?  Do any guys read this blog?  I know Elias does.  And sometimes Llamaface.  Anyone else?  Speak up!), I got myself employed at Hilltop Yarn and Needlepoint, the yarn shop up the street from me.  I started tonight, learning the register and closing procedures.  Tomorrow I practice the register and work on opening.  If you’re in the area, stop in and say hello, even if we’ve never met before!

In a somewhat related note, in that it’s about a knitter, I need to know if anyone is going to the Yarn Harlot’s reading on Friday.  Boogermonkey broke my glasses, and I might not have the replacement pair by then.  I can’t drive without them, and even if I DO have them, I’d rather not drive somewhere new by myself, since my sense of direction is notoriously bad.  Like super bad.  Like not quite as bad as Tonya’s (love you, babe), but damned close.  So any Seattleites who’d be willing to stop by Queen Anne and have a baby seat installed for the evening (oh yeah, they didn’t give Llama the evening off so Booger has to come with me, FUNTIMES), I’ll pay for your copy of the book as thanks.

yikes!
